After the disappointments of 2010, when the event was cancelled due to poor weather, the 2011 Exeter Trial saw the welcome return of milder weather. There was the usual fine turnout of historic trials cars like HRGs and a lovely Wolseley Hornet Special plus a sprinkling of modern classics that might seem too valuable to risk on a steep Devon track. On my last visit in 2002 a Ford Escort Mk I was essentially worthless – now it’s a valuable classic. And when did you last see an NSU Prinz?
