I like Simon Jansen. He writes things like: “In New Zealand there are two things that are the essence of being a ‘good Kiwi bloke’. These are of course playing rugby and having a shed. What follows is my story about a shed, a warm beer and a home made jet engine…”
The dearth of cool beer in his shed led Simon to develop his own beer cooler. He decided, quite reasonably I believe, that a jet-powered beer cooler was the logical thing to build
You’ll find the beer cooler project – and a few other inventions such as a steam-powered record turntable on his website.
He is also restoring an MGB – a car-related link at last, but probably not as exciting as jet engines!
