Oldies But Goldies
2003 sees the second year of the Top Hat Oldies but Goldies endurance series for 1950s Touring cars. Remember the epic battles between "Gentleman" Jack Sears, Tommy Sopwith, Stirling Moss and Roy Salvadori when Zephyrs and Zodiacs diced with Austin A35s and Jaguar Mk VIIs? Top Hat do - and have devised Oldies but Goldies to recreate those classic racing moments

Top Hat Oldies but Goldies race dates 2003
  • Chimay (France) 4/6 July (Historycar Historic Festival)
  • Spa (Belgium) 12/14 September
  • Mallory Park (UK) 5 October (Top Hat Historic Race Day)
Eligibility
1950s touring cars and saloons are eligible for Oldies But Goldies - if you have an interesting 1950s saloon lurking in the garage, release it from those mothballs - this series was made for you! The series will be closely scrutinised by Goodwood talent scouts who will be looking to extend a much-coveted invitation to race in the prestigious St Mary's Trophy at the Goodwood Motor Circuit Revival in September

Dunlop CR65 M or L section tyres are compulsory and Goodwood cars will require L section tyres. Winners of UK rounds will receive Dunlop vouchers and all winners will receive unique Top Hat race trophies
