Toyota Electric Racer sets new record at Nurburgring

Toyota Motorsport has set a new Nurburgring lap record for an electric car with the 375 BHP EV P001. Driven by Ring expert Jochen Krumbach the car set a time of 7:47.794, beating the previous record by over a minute

The lack of engine noise makes it clear how much is being demanded of the tyres – some corners are accompanied by frenzied tyre squeal as the car appears to understeer and push wide

  1. Well done Toyota. I agree with observation about the tyre squeal . It seems surreal to see how fast it is. I wonder how quick a milk float will lap the Nurburgring?
