As an unashamed 2002 enthusiast I love this video and the whole idea behind it. If the 2002 turbo is the most iconic, the tii is probably the most accessible and sought-after high-performance ’02.
Based on the standard 2002, the tii sat above the ti twin-carburettor model in the model range. Compared with the ti, the tii has a higher compression ratio, bigger valves and a higher power output courtesy of the advanced Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection. It’s a torquey and responsive powerplant which suits the car perfectly. It’s powerful enough to bring the car to life and it formed the basis of thousands of race and rally cars in the 1970s, 80s and through to the present day
